[01]Â Â How do I get a quote?
It's easy. Take a few photos of your reels or tapes and send them to us - reelrevivalau@gmail.com.Â
We'll review what you have and provide a quote.
[02]Â Â What if I don't know what is on my film?
That's perfectly fine. You don't need to watch or identify your reels before contacting us.
We'll work from the information you have and can help you understand what you've got.
[03]Â Â What if my film is very old?
Old film can still contain wonderful memories. We'll assess the condition of your film and let you know if there are any issues we think you should be aware of before proceeding.
[04]Â Â What if my film is damaged?
Let us know if you know of any damage. We'll assess the film when it arrives and discuss any concerns with you before proceeding.
[05]Â Â Will you watch my footage?
We only view your footage as needed to carry out the digitisation and check the quality of the finished transfer.  Your footage is never shared, published or used for promotional purposes without your permission.
[06]Â Â What happens to my original film or tapes?
Your original film and tapes remain yours. We handle them carefully and return them to you after the digitisation process.
[07]Â Â What format will I receive?
Your footage will be supplied as digital video files (.mp4) that you can watch and store on your computer or other compatible devices.
[08]Â Â How will I receive my digital files?
Files will be loaded onto a USB stick.
[09]Â Â How long does the process take?
Generally a week. Timing will be confirmed when quote is completed.
[10]Â Â Can I have copies for other family members?
Yes. Once your footage is digitised, you can make copies and share your memories with family and friends.
[11]Â Â Do I need to know whether my film is Super 8 or Standard 8?
No. Just send us a photo.
We'll help you identify what you have.
[12]Â Â What happens if I have a lot of reels?
Send us some photos of the collection and we'll work out the best way to quote it.
[13]Â Â Can you digitise just one reel?
Absolutely. You don't need to have a large collection to get started.
[14]Â Â Can I use the digitised footage on my phone or social media?
Yes. Once your footage is supplied digitally, you can watch and share it on compatible devices and platforms.
[15]Â Â Do you keep a copy of my footage?
Unless otherwise agreed we keep the footage for approximately two weeks after you have received it (in case there are any issues with your files). The footage is stored on a local/secure disk and is then deleted.Â
